Cody Belew Releases New Music Video for “Hang Your Hat On My Christmas Tree”
Original Song Was Written for Paramount Film “Dashing In December”
Country music artist and singer/songwriter, Cody Belew, has released a music video to accompany his brand new, festive Christmas song “Hang Your Hat on My Christmas Tree.” The joyous track was written for Paramount’s brand new Christmas film, “Dashing In December,” which focuses on an LGBTQIA+ couple during the holidays. The music video was filmed at Santa’s Pub in Nashville, Tennessee, a Christmas-themed bar open year round. From line dancing to festive Christmas sweaters the video is filled with holiday cheer. Belew previously made his national television debut during the third season of the Emmy-award winning competition series “The Voice,” making it into the Top 8 finalists.
Additionally, his song “A Choice (A Lonely Heart Makes),” was featured on the hit CW series, “Roswell, New Mexico.” Belew has continued to cement his spot in the Nashville music industry where he has opened for the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Delta Rae and more. He has also gone on to write with Grammy Award winning artists such as Deana Carter and Mike Reid, ACM Award winner Tia Sellers, and recording artists such as Jillian Jacqueline, Autumn McEntire, Hailey Whitters, Rick Brantley, and Waylon Payne.
