Danielle Bradbery is fresh off an exciting 2018 which included the release of her empowering anthem “Worth It,” as well as her “Goodbye Summer” duet with Thomas Rhett. Add a year-end wrap up featuring her “Yours Truly” cover series — which received rave reviews for her takes on “God Is A Woman,” “Slow Burn,” and “Psycho.” These songs, Danielle says, have “transformed me as an artist and have paved new paths for me!”
She’s kicked off 2019 in a big way, earning a nomination for ACM New Female Artist of the Year, releasing a compelling cover of “Shallow,” as well as opening for Kane Brown on his Live Forever Tour. Add appearing at Tortuga, performing in Australia for the first time at CMC Rocks, and Stagecoach.
Upcoming festival appearances include CMA Fest, Country LakeShake, Faster Horses, and Watershed, all the while in the midst of actively writing and recording for her third album. Danielle’s favorite part of touring is “getting to go out and share the music with people who have shaped me as an individual and artist.” One of those artists could very well be her dream duet partner, Shawn Mendes.
According to Danielle, “getting to write music that relates to people” is the favorite part of her career to date. She describes her sound as “very honest and as relatable as possible. It’s fun but yet emotional.” The message she wants to send the young girls who watch her — “I want girls to know they can achieve any of their dreams and nothing is ever impossible.”
Where does she want her own career to go? “I want my career to impact my listeners. As long as people connect with my music and lyrics, I’ve made it.” Danielle’s 5 and 10 year dreams are “to have an impact through my music… hopefully win some awards haha. Have a wonderful relationship & be happy!”
What if tomorrow comes, the music is gone, what would Danielle be doing? She replied, “I would be a hairdresser. My mom is one, and I love the art of it.” A cut above indeed.
