A brand new, original Christmas song that beautifully captures the true meaning of the holidays.

Introducing Amy Jack, Amy Jack’s debut album, was produced by country music legend and GRAMMY-Award winning artist Merle Haggard. One of the final projects the late 38-time №1 singer/songwriter produced, the album upholds Haggard’s legacy with a country sound that’s honest and thought provoking.

Featuring a cover of Haggard’s “Got Lonely Too Early,” Jack co-wrote ten of the tracks on the album. “Merle taught me the value in being honest,” Jack shared on her experience working with the country music icon as he helped perfect her authentic country sound.

The Oklahoma native was raised by a family of music teachers and she sings with ease and conviction. “Music is the most powerful mover in the world,” she believes. Jack currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in North Texas. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in TV/Radio/Film, her career took off as an account executive for iHeart Media and Cumulus. This position elevated her knowledge of music standards and helped her to land placement on multiple iHeartMedia stations.

With the helpful guidance of the iconic Haggard and the expertise in the industry she has established, Jack brings passion and heart to each of her songs, proving her music can bring together all corners of our culture.

What is your most magical Christmas memory?

Every year growing up, my whole family of six drove to my grandmother’s house in western Oklahoma. One year, we drove out with a horse and a dog, and someone joked that we left out the cat and the kitchen sink and we still laugh about that to this day. The holidays have a way of bringing people together.

Which family holiday traditions from your childhood do you continue as an adult?

I always looked forward to sending out Christmas cards as a kid. Our parents let us sign each one; it started out as scribbles, and finally once we learned our letters, we were able to write out our names. But I still sign each of my Christmas cards to this day, and it always brings back the nostalgia and magic that was in the air during Christmas as a little kid.

Is there a dish that you always associate with Christmas?

My mother makes green bean casserole every year, and although many associate this dish with Thanksgiving, I always looked forward to it most during Christmas.

“The Miracle Season.” What inspired the writing of your new original Christmas song? What message do you hope listeners takeaway?

I knew I wanted to release an original Christmas song for this holiday season, and I really got to thinking about the core of Christmas. It’s more than just about traditions and presents — there’s an extra element of magic in the air that I wanted to share with listeners. I think Christmas is all about hope, light and love. I hope listeners feel all of those things when they hear “The Miracle Season.”

Merle Haggard produced your debut solo album. If you were to remake one of the Christmas songs he recorded, which one would it be and why?

I would love to cover “Goin’ Home For Christmas.” Does it get any better?

In turn, if you were to create a Christmas album of duets, who would you want on it and what songs would you cover?

I would cover “With Bells On” with Dolly & Kenny, “Blue Christmas” with Elvis, Merry Christmas Strait to You,” with George Strait, and so many more.

Favorite original holiday film?

It’s A Wonderful Life — I watch it every year.
