“…hold on heart, don’t speak yet, if you do you might say something you regret…” Ashliegh Lisset’s Latest Single, “Stop the Bullet”
Independent artist and Texas native Ashliegh Lisset’s latest release “Stop The Bullet” is a fiery and soulful song penned by Nashville hitmakers Phil Barton, Emily Shackleton, Adam Argyle, and Victoria Banks Petrelli.
“I’m so excited to finally share what I’ve been working on!” Lisset, who has spent the last year co-writing and traveling to Nashville, explains. “It’s been a long time coming! This music is everything I dreamed it would be, and the moment I heard “Stop The Bullet,” I knew it was the first single — the lyrics, the music…everything about it.”
After suffering tragedy at the young age of 11 when her father was killed in action while serving our Country for Operation Iraqi Freedom, Lisset turned to music as a way to heal.
Her first single, “Kill the Headlights,” achieved great success on SiriusXM radio, was co-written by Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey, and Carrie Underwood.
Spring of 2019, Lisset went on to release “Daughter of an American Hero,” a song she co-wrote with Aria Macias, honoring her late father. The song received positive reviews from several news outlets and captured the attention of Ford Motors. Ford featured Lisset and the song in its Military Truck Month commercial.
To date, she has opened for Tyler Farr, Brett Young, Jerrod Niemann, and Joe Diffie, just to name a few. She’s performed at Nashville’s famous CMA Festival, including the Riverfront Stage, Highway Stage and AT&T Stage.
Lisset has also partnered with notable brands like Bud Light, St. Ives, National Geographic, Just Fab, 310 Nutrition and more. Through all of her triumphs thus far, the singer still maintains her humble, passionate and kind-hearted nature. “I hope my story will help people overcome obstacles and inspire them to pursue a dream.”
