The inspiration behind our first single “Just Friends” from our upcoming summer album is to encourage young people to not rush into serious relationships before they are ready.”

Growing up in Houston, Texas. What are some of your favorite childhood musical memories?

As sisters growing up in Houston, Texas, we have many fond memories of the city’s vibrant music scene. One of our favorite things to do as kids was attending the Houston Rodeo, which is the largest rodeo in the world. The event, which takes place annually at NRG Stadium, attracts millions of visitors each year and features some of the biggest names in country music. We have seen so many incredible acts at the Houston Rodeo, including Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini, Alan Jackson, and many more. The atmosphere is always electric, with fans from all over Texas coming together to celebrate their love of music and rodeo culture. We are also blessed to have performed at the Houston Rodeo every year since 2016, when we formed our duo.

Aside from the Houston Rodeo, we also loved spending time in Galveston, Texas, which is a popular coastal destination for Houstonians. We have spent countless hours on the beach, exploring the many restaurants and shops, and enjoying the entertainment the Island has to offer. The warm climate and beautiful scenery always made for a perfect day out.

Houston is known for its diverse culture, and we were fortunate to have grown up in a city that celebrates diversity. We loved visiting the many parks and museums in the city, where we learned about different cultures and history. Some of our favorites included the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Children’s Museum of Houston, and Hermann Park.

Overall, growing up in Houston, Texas, provided us with so many wonderful musical memories that we will always cherish. Whether we were attending the Houston Rodeo or exploring the city’s many cultural attractions, we were always surrounded by music, entertainment, and the warm hospitality that is synonymous with Texas.

Lessons with a vocal coach starting at age 6. Playing guitar and piano. Songwriting. Live theater and dance productions. Independent artists since 2016. What is the story behind your Wild Fire duo name?

As sisters who have been pursuing music for most of our lives, we have had many experiences that have shaped our journey as musicians. It all started with our vocal coach, who began teaching us when we were just 6 years old. From there, we started learning to play guitar and piano, and eventually began writing our own songs. We were also heavily involved in live theater and dance productions, which gave us a love for performing and being on stage. As we grew older, we decided to pursue music and became independent artists in 2016.

When it came time to choose a name for our duo, we wanted something that represented our passion for music and our desire to make a positive impact on the world. That’s when we came up with the name Wild Fire. To us, the name represents the idea that our music can spread like a wildfire, touching the hearts of people all over the world and leaving a lasting impression. We want our music to be a source of inspiration and positivity, and we hope that our name reflects that message.

Overall, our journey as musicians has been a wild ride, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are proud to be Wild Fire, and we look forward to sharing our music with the world for years to come.

What has been the best performance of your career so far and why?

As musicians, we have had many incredible performances over the years, but one that stands out as the best of our career so far was last year’s show at the Houston Rodeo. Performing at the Houston Rodeo is always a special experience for us. The atmosphere is electric, and the crowd’s energy is infectious. We feel like we can feed off of the crowd’s energy, and that always brings out the best in us as artists. This was a particularly special show for us because we had really grown and matured as artists since our last performance there. We had spent countless hours practicing and perfecting our craft, and we felt like we were the best we had ever been.

When we stepped out onto that stage and saw the sea of fans before us, we knew that this was going to be an incredible performance. The energy was palpable, and we could feel the excitement building as we began to play. As we moved through our set, we felt the crowd’s energy growing stronger with each song, and we knew that we were making a connection with our fans that would last long after the show was over.

Looking back on that performance, we feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to perform at the Houston Rodeo and to share our music with such a passionate audience. It was a moment that we will never forget, and one that we will always cherish as the best performance of our career so far.

Wild Fire will be performing at the Houston Rodeo on 3/7/23. To get more information about the show and register to get a reminder, CLICK HERE: https://www.facebook.com/events/1294532371131233

In terms of the overall composition, what is your favorite song and why?

As musicians, we have been influenced by many different genres and artists throughout our careers, but when it comes to the overall composition and lyrics of a song, there is one that stands out above all others for us — “Landslide “by Fleetwood Mac.

There are a few reasons why this song holds such a special place in our hearts. For one, the melody is incredibly beautiful and haunting, with a simplicity that is both powerful and moving. When we hear that opening guitar riff, it immediately transports us to a different place and time.

But it’s the lyrics of “Landslide” that really make it stand out as a masterpiece. The song is all about the passing of time and the changes that come with it, and it’s filled with poignant imagery that captures the feeling of nostalgia and regret that can come with growing older.

The lines “I’ve been afraid of changing / ’Cause I built my life around you” always hit us hard, as they speak to the fear of letting go and moving on from something that we have invested so much of ourselves into.

Overall, “Landslide” is a song that speaks to the human experience in a way that is both universal and deeply personal. It’s a song that we can listen to over and over again and always find something new to love about it. As songwriters, it serves as a constant source of inspiration and a reminder of the power that music can have to move us and touch our hearts.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

If there’s one message that we would want to give to our fans, it’s that we are all in this together. As artists, we believe that music has the power to bring people together and to help us all feel a little less alone in our struggles.

We always strive to write songs that are both positive and truthful, and that speak to the universal experiences that we all share as human beings. We want our fans to know that no matter what they may be going through in their lives, they are not alone. We are here for them, and we want our music to be a source of hope and encouragement for anyone who needs it.

Whether we’re playing to a packed venue or performing an intimate acoustic set, our goal is always to connect with our fans on a deep level and to lift them up with our music. We are so grateful for the love and support that we have received from our fans over the years, and we want them to know that we are always here for them, and that our music is a reflection of the struggles and triumphs that we all face in life.

“Just Friends,” the first single from your upcoming summer album. The song addresses mismatched feelings, the dreaded friend zone. What inspired the single?

The inspiration behind our first single “Just Friends” from our upcoming summer album is to encourage young people to not rush into serious relationships before they are ready. We have seen many people make commitments early in life and end up unhappy. We believe it is important to find the right person before getting serious. The song addresses the common situation where one person has feelings for the other, but the other person does not feel the same way. We hope that this song will give our fans a sense of comfort and the realization that it is okay to take things slow and not rush into a relationship before they are truly ready.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of music?

As sisters and musicians, we have a lot of passions outside of music that keep us grounded and fulfilled. One of our biggest hobbies is health and fitness. We love working out and challenging ourselves physically. Another interest of ours is traveling. We love experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. It’s always inspiring to see how music brings people together from all around the world. We’re also huge animal lovers, especially when it comes to dogs. We have two German Shepherds that mean the world to us. They’re like family. Higher education is also important to us both. It’s something that we both value and believe is important for personal growth and development.

Finally, family and friends are a huge part of our lives. We’re lucky to have each other and a supportive community of loved ones. It’s important to us to maintain those relationships and keep our connection with those who matter most.

What is the trip you most want to take but haven’t yet?

We would absolutely love to travel to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The picturesque views of the coastline, the colorful buildings, and the crystal-clear waters have always fascinated us. We are both avid travelers, and we have been fortunate enough to visit many beautiful places, but the Amalfi Coast has always been on our bucket list.
