London (Ontario that is)

You brought it last night!

I know I’ve said this every night but DAMN you were loud!

Canadian crowds really are something else!! And I think London was the loudest yet!!!

You brought an energy I cannot explain. It went beyond happy, excited energy….in fact it was nearer grateful. Grateful to have live music back, grateful to be in a crowd of like minded people again and of course grateful to have your girl back on home soil!

I was so grateful for this energy, for the first time this tour I was 100% in it, mind, body and soul! And it was so badly needed. I also felt the energy coming off the little girl beside me who was living her best life front row at her first concert EVER!! And what a first concert experience to have!! (Although I think Priyanka may have scared her a little) I wasn’t the only one feeding off this energy. Linds was too! She was buzzin’! As were her boys! They were not only feeding off of the energy but elevating it!

I won’t lie tho, my heart did go every time she said London, cos it reminded me of home, reminded me of the fact I wasn’t in fact seeing her in my home city (I’m actually more grateful than sad about that at this point) reminded me of the memories I’ve experienced in my London but also reminded me that she hasn’t been on British soil for two years! And won’t be back for another 10 (no comfort in that number right now, IYKYK) but…

Yesterday was my 50th Linds show.

50th, how mad is that?!

So many people aren’t lucky enough to see their favourite artist perform live once let alone 50 times!! (And probably met her just as many, I’m sure she loves that fact.) I’ve been fortunate enough to see her play huge festival crowds and intimate one woman shows. I’ve gotten to hear new, new music and new, old music. I’ve gotten to see the progression of Linds the woman, Linds the artist and Linds the performer too, I’ve gotten to see the progression of her songwriting and her musical sound all while traveling the world!

I’m so so thankful to have Linds and her music in my life! So grateful for (some of) the people she's brought into it and so, so grateful for the things I’ve gotten to experience because of her/her music…but not the weather…most of that was best left unexperienced!

Thank you Linds for being you!

For all you have done for me, big and small, for the things you are aware of and not.

Thank you for making me wanna do crazy shit like design our own merch (IYKYK) or EPIC shit like fly half way across the world during a global pandemic to see you! (That reaction was amazing!!)

Thank you for always being real and for putting up with my shit, and my long lists of “demands,” for no longer getting freaked out by the shit that I know/manage to find out and for actually bragging about it at times and thank you for still managing to pull of the odd surprise (CGT!!! OMFG!!).

Hamilton, I expect you to bring it tonight, this is my last show not only of this run but for the next ten months!

Let’s make this one EPIC, let’s give me some amazing memories to cling to until I can make more! Expect lots of tears tho (both happy and sad).

P.S. London, UK. We need to bring our A game next time my girl is in town cos London, ON, cannot be a better crowd than us!!
