Multi-Platinum Country Artist Niko Moon’s Two-Day Celebration “Good Time Charleston” Brings Music and Mental Health Awareness to Life
Multi-platinum country artist Niko Moon brought his signature feel-good energy to The Refinery in Charleston for his inaugural launch of “Good Time Charleston,” a two-day music and wellness event honoring Mental Health Awareness Month.
The event drew thousands of attendees, with the second day selling out, and featured a dynamic mix of live music, wellness activities, and community-focused experiences aimed at celebrating the healing power of music and fostering human connection.
“Music saved my life — and now I want to use it to help others,” said Moon. “Good Time Charleston was all about creating a space where people can feel seen, supported, and reminded that they’re not alone.”
Presented by 1 Million Strong and benefitting Moon’s Happy Cowboy Foundation, “Good Time Charleston” featured the Good Timer Tailgate each afternoon — an activation designed to promote community connection and well-being before the headline shows. Fans enjoyed music, food trucks, and family-friendly games, alongside pop-up activations focused on mental health, recovery, and resilience.
1 Million Strong — an impact initiative by the Stand Together community to unite music, sports, and entertainment to strengthen mental health, addiction recovery, and well-being through community and belonging — hosted their signature wellness retreat, offering fans a VIP-style lounge with craft mocktails, an affirmation wall, and opportunities to connect with other like-minded individuals.
“Good Time Charleston is exactly what 1 Million Strong is all about — creating spaces where people feel a sense of belonging and connection,” said Colette Weintraub, head of Stand Together Music, Sports & Entertainment. “This weekend was a reminder that music doesn’t just entertain — it can be a powerful tool to unite people, foster genuine connection, and healing.”
In addition to the weekend’s performances, the singer hosted a Good Timers Get Together featuring a yoga class and meet-and-greet experience for fans on Sunday morning, underscoring his personal commitment to connecting with his fans and community building.
Fans were encouraged to bring a canned good to the event, which Moon donated to a local food drive — demonstrating how acts of service and giving back can be powerful drivers of purpose, connection, and mental well-being.
$1 from every ticket sold benefited the Happy Cowboy Foundation, which works to expand access to mental health care in underserved communities.
