Growing up in Oklahoma, you knew as a small child that you wanted to be a singer. A disco singer. Which artists & songs were your favorites to listen to?

As a child I was raised on 70s and 80s music, hence wanting to be a disco singer! I’ve kept the passion but lost the disco. (*wink*) When I really started to find the artists I loved, they were John Mayer, Sara Bareilles, Adele, Paramore, and Demi Lovato, of course. Songs that sound great only do so much, but songs that also mean something important. All of these people have made music that matters, that makes you feel things, and they’ve made a huge impact on me and my music.
