California roots 1/2 Mermaid 1/2 Cowgirl Who are your biggest musical influences?

I have quite a few!! Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Elvis, Ronnie Dunn, Patsy Cline, Tom Petty, Ray LaMontagne, Dwight Yoakam, LeAnn Rimes and Garth Brooks.

Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine. What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced in your career, and how have you overcome them?

Someone was reading my ig bio. Music is one of the hardest careers. In my music career, overcoming constant rejection has been a significant challenge. The industry is tough, and the ratio of ‘no’s to ‘yes’s’ can be discouraging. However, the deep connections I’ve made with my audience make it all worthwhile. Witnessing people resonate with my music and building a loyal fanbase keeps me going. Each rejection teaches me something new and strengthens my determination. Embracing change, continuous self-improvement, and staying connected with my fans have been key in overcoming these challenges.

You’ve shared the stage with Rimes, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band, Darius Rucker, and Cole Swindell, among others. How do you connect with your audience during your live shows?

Connecting with my audience during live shows is all about being real and sharing my passion. I pour my heart and soul into every performance, delivering my best both musically and emotionally. Through my lyrics, I open up about my experiences, making it personal and relatable. I feed off the energy of the crowd, adapting my performance on the spot to match their vibe. I also like to chat with them between songs, sharing stories and creating a friendly atmosphere. It’s not just about the music; it’s about creating a genuine, unforgettable connection that makes every show unique and special.

“Somewhere In Mexico,” This song was inspired by a vacation I took to Cabo San Lucas, and I wanted to bring all the elements that I felt on vacation into the music between the mariachi bands, ocean waves, sunset, and beach so that listeners could feel like they have been transported to the beach. How do you incorporate acoustic instruments to recreate a beach atmosphere for fans?

If you listen to island or beach music, it’s generally all acoustic instruments with steel drums, acoustic guitar and cajon. All those instruments have a very natural sound that when arranged together can give you the beachy breezy feel. If you ever listen to reggae or Jimmy Buffett you will pick up on those instruments that bring that vibe.

“Find Me on a Beach” is your invitation to escape the daily grind and surrender to the carefree vibes of the coastline. It’s a sonic celebration of freedom, where deadlines and meetings are replaced by sand between your toes and the sound of laughter echoing in the air. What advice would you give to young people who are interested in pursuing a career in country music?

Write with as many writers as you can, play writers nights and showcases. I think education is important too, so if you can go to music school do it! Hone in on your craft, take lessons, gig, gig, gig!

“Island Time” the final installment in a trilogy of beach-themed releases to usher in the California Country summer months. Whenever I’m out on the ocean I discover an indescribable sense of freedom and peace that draws me close to God, there’s nothing like that feeling. It’s my happy place. This is what I call Island Time. How do you balance between the music and the other obligations?

It’s very hard… I’m always working, writing music and playing shows. I have to have a written schedule to keep me on track and plan out my life on a daily basis. I’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices with family and friends to do what I do but I’m blessed and grateful!

Favorite places to explore with your corgis?

My one corgi Shelby loves swimming so I love to take her to Pensacola or to the lake. I haven’t had a chance to take my other corgi Rebel there yet but I’m sure she would love it too!
